Student Enrichment Activities
A vital part of Gateway High School are student enrichment activities. These activities provide opportunities for students to participate in various Co-Curricular events throughout the school year.
These activities include participation in athletic competitions such as Soccer, Flag Football, Mushball, Volleyball, Cross Country, and Basketball just to name a few. Gateway students who are eligible to participate, compete against other Alternative Education High School from the area.
Other student enrichment activities include educational field trips to parks and other local areas of interest. Students travel to places such as Kings Canyon National Park, Sequoia National Park, and McKenzie Preserve. During the trips, students are provided with the opportunity explore these picturesque locations and experience a little of what the Central Valley has to offer.
Another aspect of our student enrichment activities includes our access to local conventions and summits provided by the school district and our community. Students are provided with opportunities to attend leadership conferences at our local comprehensive school sites that teach and discuss the various cultures represented in our community. Other conferences in the area offered center around college and career opportunities for our students after high school.
