3D Design is an active class that will introduce students to fundamental topics in three-dimensional design. Students explore the principles of visual perception and the meaning of form, space, function, and structure as they relate to three-dimensional design through a clear sequence of assignments and projects. Course work focuses on the skills and concepts of creative design projects that emphasizes understanding of the California Art Standards. The class is structured with visual presentation/lecture, class assignments, technology and projects.

Art 1 is a beginning high school art class.  The curriculum is designed for students to explore art concepts, develop techniques, and grow an appreciation for the California Art Standards. Whether the student is a novice or has prior experience, the class will enhance skills and develop the art concepts universally. The Art Elements and Principles of Design are at the core of the curriculum, as well as exploring modern and historical artists and their works. Students will learn basic techniques used in pencil, water color, color pencil, and other media in art while developing skills in proportions, perspective, and more.

Ceramics is a course intended for those studying ceramics for the first time and is a comprehensive introduction to the craft of clay working. The primary emphasis is on studio work leading to a portfolio of finished pieces by the end of the semester. The main goal of this course is that students will be able to create as well as appreciate expressive, beautiful three-dimensional clay forms. Students will have an understanding of other cultures and periods of human expression. This class will teach students about clay and to be proficient at forming clay objects.
