School Lunch and Breakfast
We participate in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program which requires school meals to meet federal regulations.  The School Meals Initiative allows school districts to select from five approaches for menu planning to meet the nutrition standards.  Clovis Unified School District uses the Nutrient Standard Menu Planning (NSMP) approach to analyze nutrients of our menus. The nutrients of the foods we offer are entered into NutriKids, a USDA Food and Nutrition Service approved computer program.  Standardized recipes are developed and followed to ensure nutrient accuracy.

If your child received free or reduced-price meals during the 2016-2017 school year, his/her temporary rollover status will expire on October 1, 2017 and your child will go to a full-paid status on October 2, 2017.  If you wish to keep your child on the free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch program, you will need to submit a 2017-2018 meal application before October 1, 2017.  If you have already done so, you will receive an Eligibility Notification letter stating your child’s status on the program for the 2016-2017 school year.  If  you have not received an Eligibility Notification by the end of September, please check to be sure your application has been received and processed by contacting Campus Catering or your child’s cafeteria supervisor.  Campus Catering can be reached at 327.9130.
