Dear Clovis Unified families and students,
As announced in the update to families shared last week, you
are invited to join an online Return to School Town Hall regarding the opening
of the 2020-21 school year at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, on Clovis Unified’s
The event will feature updates on:
governor’s mandate that schools be online if they are within a county that
is on the COVID Watch List – what does that mean for CUSD, what will that
temporary learning model look like, how does a county get off the
is the District preparing for the start of school and how will families be
informed and supported in an online learning environment
and discussion illustrating what a school day might look like in the
various formats that may occur this school year, including online or in-class
and safety protocols to be followed when
on-site learning can occur
Understandably, we have been receiving many questions about
the start of school and several of the most frequently asked questions will be
addressed during the Town Hall. These will include what the online learning
experience and curriculum will be for elementary and secondary students; will
teachers be available and providing interactive instruction; what happens when
Fresno County is no longer on the Watch List; will masks be required on campus
for students and staff; and how families can access laptops and technology if
Additional questions may be submitted using our online form;
these will not be replied to individually, but will be used to develop our
question and answer list for the Town Hall session.
Questions may be submitted prior to the Town Hall online at:https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/8fa850560cbf44ac84bcd0185add2980.

for your child and are work diligently with that in mind.
